There’s a cool barrel cactus schlumping over a wall at GC5MAPK (easy find if you’re in North Tucson!). I loved the way it reminded me of Oscar the Grouch so I played around with it in photoshop, making it go psychedelic.
The neon cactus turned out to be this wild intersection of geocaching and imagination. I made a couple cards with it, naming one card Cactus Dreams. My Zazzle and Amazon stores were called Cactus Catz up until then. Once I created the t-shirt on Merch Amazon, I renamed both stores to Cactus Dreams.
Now this month, MerchAmazon has opened up selling our t-shirt designs on UK Amazon and DE Amazon. I could only sell them in the USA before. They want me to write German for the DE Amazon site but I don’t know German. I really hope they don’t mind. I am so excited about being able to sell in three countries.
The t-shirt “Cactus Dreams” captures the perfect crossroads where reality meets your dreams. Sure going for your dreams can get prickly now and again but it’s like entering OZ when you get there. Life bursts into technicolor. I hope my t-shirt Cactus Dreams fires your imagination too.
