I’ve hidden my first cache near a really cool mural. Wrote down the coordinates but when I input it, the cache page changes the coordinates to a half a mile away.
So I am going back to recheck the coordinates tomorrow.
tammy-b suggested I download a gps or compass app but my phone is old so I can’t download any more apps. So I told her cgeo or geocaching.com will have to do. Then she told me about a website to test coordinates on. I’m not good at remembering things on the fly like that so I’ll have to email her to get the url again.
I should get a geo tag for scrooge and make him a trackable. It would be fun to see what adventures he goes on.

You can use the Amazon search bar to do any search at Amazon like I did today with “gps”. I’m using the geocaching app on my phone but it’s not perfect and I worry that the coords won’t be right for my first cache. So I’m looking at some gps. If you have one you love, tell me about it. I’d love to know why you like it. My phone is driving me bonkers because it takes a couple of minutes to catch up to where I actually am.
I am the designer/creator of the t-shirt Amazon pays me a royalty if you buy the shirt. Yay! I am also an Amazon affiliate on the US site. This has no effect on your price. I think hides are the most fun part of geocaching. Congratulations on your first one.
well, the tin is ready and it’s hidden under the rock. I’m going to go check on it tomorrow as it’s been raining and see how it’s doing. then check the coords and maybe actually publish, lol
Oh my, you made a fun one!
i hope have fun finding it. now I just have to get the latitude and longitude right so they don’t end up a mile away, lol
